Señor Amor has always been an ardent music fan. As a teenager he began seriously collecting records of all genres and started DJ’ing at KBEV, the radio station at Beverly Hills High School. Señor attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles largely due to his love for KXLU, their top ranked student run radio station. While at LMU, he started as an “Alt-Rock Jock” and then was invited to join “The Molotov Cocktail Hour” as a co-host…a position Señor holds to this day. His professional career began with weekly residencies at The 3 Clubs Lounge in Hollywood, Liquid Kitty, and Encounter Restaurant at the top of the Theme Building at LAX.
Señor moved to Austin in 2012 to manage the newly opened Stonehouse Villa in the Texas Hill Country, one of the fastest growing wedding destinations in the United States. While there, he joined the Austin Chapter of The International Special Events Society and in his first year he received the Spirit of ISES Award. He was elected the Membership Director for 2013-14 and Vice President of Membership for 2014-15. He helped to expand the membership of The Austin Chapter to one of the largest chapters in the world and it was awarded Chapter of the Year in 2014 and again in 2015. During this time he continued to DJ weddings, corporate events and private parties. He moved back to Los Angeles in May of 2015.
Señor has DJ’d and emceed hundreds of weddings, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s Christmas party, and premieres for 20th Century Fox, Disney, NBC-Universal, and New Line Cinema. Señor Amor has been featured in Billboard Magazine, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Newsweek, Daily Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Harper’s Bazaar, Los Angeles Magazine and Vanity Fair.
